I have loved my first year as Principal here at Grey High and cannot thank the whole community enough for making me feel so welcome on the coast. I am sad that our whānau can’t be with us in person today but hopefully technology will enable you to feel a little bit like you are! Rangatahi/students Firstly, I need to talk about you, our amazing rangatahi. You have blown me away with your kindness, respect and the ability to get on with things. Demonstrating our ARCH values of Akoranga Respect Community and Hauora And this is something that we should all strive to do. Do we all get everything right? No, but I am very proud of how you have all developed and grown this year even when things were tough. Receiving a Principal’s Award is a big deal and I have really enjoyed going into everyone's classes to hand them out. Their classmates have been really supportive too; always clapping and cheering as I shake hands with them! Senior end of year events - our current plan remains the same as last week! As I write this we are keeping the same plans as we had last week - let’s keep our fingers crossed! COVID VACCINATION REGISTRATIONS FOR STUDENTS AND VOLUNTEERS Students We will be sending out an email asking you to complete a Google Form to ask if your child/children has had their first or second vaccine dose, or is exempted from being vaccinated. This includes providing proof of vaccination or exemption so we can add it to our register. IT IS NOT MANDATED THAT A STUDENT HAS TO BE VACCINATED TO ATTEND SCHOOL A remi

newsletter T4 Week 3 Tēnā koutou katoa Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou Young Enterprise West Coast Regional Awards I had a fantastic time at the awards! A huge Congratulations goes to all of our rangatahi who completed their final parts of their assessments by presenting their final pitches for their enterprise projects. They all did amazingly and totally characterised our ARCH values. I was so proud of all of them. The overall West Coast Regional Winner was: Papatuanuku Sports Kits - sports Kits promoting Baseball5™. The CEO was Joel McKay and the CFO, Dom Cate. Well deserved!!
